EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS MUNICH 2022 - THE HOME ROOF

REALISATION

The Festival of Diversity and Surprise accompanied the European Championships with a mix of music, culture, art, culinary delights and much more. In its anniversary year 2022, the park became the “place to be” with plenty to discover for young and old, big and small.

The Roofs did not present itself as a place of superlatives, but rather as an experience for the extraordinary. The festival was intended to offer regional stakeholders a platform to present themselves and benefit from the European Championships.

The stakeholders were actively integrated into the festival and made responsible for its implementation. They had the chance to present themselves to the international audience of the European Championships over the course of the event.

In addition to many other themed islands, a festival rooftop centred around Bavarian culture was created during the eleven days of the event on the Olympic Hill. Traditional music and culinary delights created Bavarian flair and made Bavarian cultural life tangible, contributing to tourism marketing.

The European Championships Munich 2022 served to strengthen the image of the Munich as state capital, the Free State of Bavaria and the Federal Republic of Germany. The aim was to be hospitable and cosmopolitan, and to act as a showcase for the city's culture and attractions.
