Our project ‘Sustainable Major Sporting Events’ at the 11th Sustainability Conference NRW
Sustainability in dialogue: At the NRW Sustainability Conference, we presented our project ‘Sustainable Sporting Events’ and exchanged ideas with stakeholders from across North Rhine-Westphalia on the role of sport in a sustainable future.
On 4 December 2025, numerous sustainability stakeholders from across North Rhine-Westphalia gathered at the Stadthalle Mülheim an der Ruhr to discuss ways, challenges and solutions for a sustainable future at the NRW Sustainability Conference.
We are delighted that, as the Institute for Outdoor Sports and Environmental Research at the German Sport University Cologne, we were able to present our project and web portal ‘Sustainable Sports Events’ there and exchange ideas with experts from politics, administration, science and practice.
