Representing our project - “Sustainable Major Sporting Events” - at the DOSB’s Sports Development Dialogue Forum
At the Sports Development Dialogue Forum, we presented our “Sustainable Sports Events” project at the “Market of Opportunities” and discussed the role of sports in shaping a sustainable future with stakeholders from across the country.
“We’re shaping the future of sports. Because it’s all about you—sports. Clubs. Strengths.”
Under this motto, the DOSB’s Sports Development Division (GBS) brought together around 500 guests from the worlds of sports and politics on March 18 and 19, 2026. The focus was on addressing the future challenges facing grassroots sports with determination – from education, volunteerism, and inclusion to sports facilities and nature conservation.
Hands-on Innovation
The foyer served as a “Market of Opportunities,” providing space for innovative ideas and exchange. The “Sustainable Sports Events” web portal, in particular, generated significant interest: While some organizers have already firmly integrated it into their planning, the event served as a starting point for many others to begin using the tool in the future.
Conclusion: Networking as a Win
New connections and the exchange of diverse perspectives were at the heart of the event—in line with the guiding principle: SHARE KNOWLEDGE. SECURE SUPPORT.
