TARGETS AND INDICATORS

Several strategic targets for the vision of a sustainable sporting event in the transformation areas of Climate, Resources, Nature, Economy and Society have been defined for each action area. The strategic targets are in turn concretised by sub-targets. Target fulfilment is made measurable either quantitatively or qualitatively through the individual indicators of the sub-targets. It is therefore up to the organiser to decide the breadth and depth with which they deal with the action areas, which specific targets they define and which measures they ultimately implement to achieve the targets.

The 17 action areas become tangible and measurable with the help of targets and indicators. The target catalogue can be used to set and document individual sub-targets and measure them using the associated indicators.

FAQ – TARGET CATALOGUE

The target catalogue lists all sub-targets resulting from the action areas. The sub-targets can be filtered according to one or more action areas and targets. Further information, such as explanations, the associated indicator and, if available, a recommended target value, is available by expanding the sub-target.

A change or transformation in the action areas is necessary for the development towards a sustainable sporting event. Targets have been formulated for each action area to achieve this desired sustainable development. These are in turn concretised by sub-targets.

The indicator makes the sub-targets measurable and thus enables an assessment of target achievement.
