TRANSFORMATION AREAS

The five transformation areas of Society, Climate, Resources, Nature and Economy are derived from the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda. These cover a wide range of topics, including poverty reduction, gender equality, education, health, clean water, sustainable cities and communities and climate protection. The transformation areas link various SDGs and form the overarching strategic guidelines for sustainable sporting events. In the transformation areas, a coordinated effort by organisers, politicians, sporting civil society and individuals is necessary in order to shape the future in a sustainable way. . 

 

ACTION AREAS

Action areas for sustainable sporting events are areas on which organisers and organisations focus in order to implement sustainable practices and solutions. These are linked to the transformation areas and are derived from the five transformation areas. 17 action areas have been identified.

 

DEEP DIVES

The deep dives offer in-depth insights into key topics of sustainable event organisation. They impart practical knowledge to help understand complex interrelationships and implement responsible solutions.
